“Plogging” is a Swedish concept that combines picking up litter and jogging and the Mid-America Regional Council is hosting a friendly competition to see which county in the KC Metro Area will have the most volunteers and pick up the most litter! Help Clay County and Liberty Public Works by picking up litter in our community! When is the Plog-a-thon? Oct. 16 anytime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. You can pick a time that best suits your schedule. What are the Plog-a-thon locations? Public Works staff have identified a few areas in Liberty that need litter pickup and also have safe sidewalks along the way. Plog-a-thon participants should always pay attention to their surroundings and keep an eye on traffic. Locations include: • Kansas Street from Missouri Street to Route 291 • South Withers Road from Liberty Drive to South Liberty Parkway • Liberty Drive from South Withers Road to Clay Drive • Choose your favorite walking / jogging spot or street in your neighborhood • Pick your favorite Liberty park or trail
